Functions and responsibilities of Faculty of Political Economics
The Faculty of Political Economics is predecessor of University of Economics and Business, Vietnam National University. Today, the Faculty of Political Economics with nearly 40-year tradition of building and development (1974-2013) is one of the five important faculties University of Economics and Business. With its own characteristics in teaching and research, the functions and duties of the Faculty is very important.
In training activities, the Faculty is responsible for training experts in political economy, economic management and senior managers having excellent professional skills and good moral character at undergraduate and postgraduate levels consistent with the requirements of international integration and the development of the country; providing training services in terms of programs of learning and updating knowledge, raising the level of science - technology and professional skills for meeting social demands.
In scientific research, the Faculty has focus on conducting research and applying science and technology in the field of political economy and economic management, combining training with scientific research, participating in research to solve the issues posed by the economic and social requirements.
Additionally, the Faculty has also focused on international cooperation and scientific research training. In order to improve quality and prestige, the Faculty actively cooperate in training, research and deploying application, exchanging scientific information and technology transfer with training and research institutions, companies and other organizations inside and outside the country.
Furthemore, the Faculty has played an active role in providing consultancy on policies and solutions implementing socio-economic policies for Government agencies, counseling strategies for corporations, businesses and organizations in the country and internationally on issues of economic management.
