With strengths in studying political economy reasoning, Faculty of Political Economy is implementing the scientific research projects related to the economic theories, political economy theories and issues in the world and Viet Nam, the state management in the modern economy.

Research products of Fuculty focuses on the issues related to the content of the subject (Political Economy of Transitional Economies, Economic Innovation;  Industrialization and Modernization; Economic Sectors; Income Distribution in Vietnam; Economic theories ...)

Beside, Faculty of Political Economy also has researches to resolve urgent economic issues of Vietnam (the role of the state in the process of international economics integration, constructing market economy institutional in Viet Nam, developing science and technology market…).

At the same time, the Faculty of Political Economy is going to deploy additional new directions to meet newly arising demands and requirements in Vietnam:

The first, systemizing theoretical and practical solution of service oriented architecture (SOA) to apply enterprises and public organizations. Analyzing the challenges and solving it in the using SOA to optimize restructuring activities of economic groups; moreover, optimizing management activities in the local. Then, making recommendation for economic groups and government.

The second, the researching to promote and develop economy the Northwest: The northwest of Viet Nam has evaluated as a potential region for economic development, contribute to promote growth country's economy
