Strengthening Cooperation with National University of Laos
On 2nd August 2016, the delegation of Faculty of Political Economics, University of Economics and Business - Vietnam National University had a working visit to the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, National University of Laos.
Attending the delegation of University of Economics and Business – VNU, there were A. Prof – Ph.D. Pham Van Dung , Dean of Faculty of Political Economics - leading the delegation, Ph.D. Nguyen Thi Thu Hoai - Deputy Head of Office of Research and Partnership Development, A. Prof – Ph.D. Pham Thi Hong Diep - Head of Department of Economic Management and other lecturers of faculty of Political Economics. As representing the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, National University of Laos, there were A. Prof – Ph.D. Phouphet Kyophilavong - Vice Dean, A. Prof – Ph.D. TS Sengchanh Chanthasene - Vice Dean and scientists, faculty members. At the working session, Leaders of Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and Head of functional departments have has introduced to the delegation of University of Economics and Business about training and research activities which are currently being implemented. With the scale traning 3,000 students in 5 bachelor programs and 7 Master’s traning programs, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration has become a bright spot to attract people studying economics in the Lao PDR. Especially, in order to create favorable conditions for interaction between lecturers and students, Faculty is planning to implement modern forms of training applying information technology such as E-learning and E-classroom with the support of other countries and international organizations such as KOICA, JAICA ... The scientific research activities of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration have took place lively and continually developed with research directions on market economy institutions in Laos, international economic integration and economic management, business administration ... In recent years, Faculty have some studies published in prestigious economics journals in the region and internationally.
On behalf of the delegation , A. Prof – Ph.D. Pham Van Dung has introduced to the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, National University of Laos about specialized training, research orientation as well as typical achievements of of Political Economics, University of Economics and Business – VNU. A. Prof – Ph.D. Pham Van Dung
also has expressed his thanks for the warm welcome of Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and highly appreciated the collaborative achievements that faculty has achieved with international partners. During the session, two parties have shared cooperative ideas and expressed the desire to continue further exchange of information in order to build a plan of implementation in the coming future.
